HiddenSeriesBack2Live (重现隐藏戏剧)

Yes, this is the way (bug huh?) to get PPS(PPStream, PPS.tv) hidden series to be shown and appear within your installed PPS client. Thanks to Mr. KY for spending time to do all testing with me.

Currently this workaround is not working well for PPS v2.7.0.1248 (current latest version) but works normally for its previous version (v2.7.0.1246). And don't know why this bug works greatly for fresh new installed windows (newly reformatted windows with first time install of v2.7.0.1246 PPS client). It's okay even you have upgraded to v2.7.0.1248 because I am going to teach you how to work this bug out and provide you the v.2.7.0.1246 download link.

I'm highly recommending you not to upgrade to version 2.7.0.1248 and above if you want to do this for currently.

So let's get started! (Please follow me exactly to avoid failure)

Either method 1 or method 2 below may not work for some machines, please don't ask me why, I really don't know!
Btw, I have reproduced this bug more than 100 times(I'm telling the truth). Most of the time I change 1 time then it works permanently. Please try unlimited times if you can't make the hidden series appear until you get bored with the failure. But once you make them appear in PPS Client, better not to change locale again, but sometimes you change again will work too, too buggy PPS client. But I have tested more than 10 machines and all works though. FYI, mostly I do this in Chinese(PRC) system.

Method 1
Change your system locale(for Non-Unicode) to Chinese Traditional (Taiwan/Hong Kong S.A.R./Macau S.A.R. - either 1 of 3) then your windows will restart.

After restart windows, open PPS client and expand(click) the 港台剧场 to check whether hidden series got appear or not. If appear then you can choose to change system locale back to Chinese(PRC) if you want, else just leave it.

For me, I changed back to Chinese(PRC) after successfully display hidden series in Chinese Traditional system locale and hidden series are displayed in Chinese(PRC) without problem.

To change system locale, goto Start > Control Panel > Region and Language > Administrative/Advanced > Language for non-Unicode programs

If this doesn't work for you, goto Method 2 which is recommended.

Method 2 (Recommended)
I recommend you to set your system locale to Chinese(PRC), this is what I always use for Windows. I have also tested with other Chinese system locale, both Simplified(PRC, Singapore) and Traditional(Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau) works).

Step 1: Uninstall PPStream, then install v2.7.0.1246 (Path must be C:\Program Files\PPStream!)

Uninstall your PPStream COMPLETELY if your PPS client version is NOT v2.7.0.1246 and is NOT previously installed in C:\Program Files\PPStream.
Your PPStream client MUST be installed in C:\Program Files\PPStream in order to use this Method 2!
Download PPStream v2.7.0.1246 from here and install.
Please set C:\Program Files\PPStream as installation path as shown in the image above! (Do not overwrite install because it may cause bug to not working!)
Run PPS client normally and expand hidden series channel list like 港台剧场 to let it load pre-load list, if you want you can expand all channel list too by clicking on them 1 by 1.
Now EXIT/QUIT PPStream Client completely by clicking 播放(P) > 退出(X) (please DO NOT close to tray, because by DEFAULT if you click on red X button, PPStream client will just simply hide to tray(right-bottom side tray icon)).

Step 2: Install HiddenSeriesBack2Live.exe and clear cache

Download HiddenSeriesBack2Live.zip from here.
Extract HiddenSeriesBack2Live.zip and run HiddenSeriesBack2Live.exe (Install password = ryantcwbby).
Goto C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live
Run uncache.bat normally (when prompted, type 1 and press ENTER key to clear cache)

Step 3: Install Microsoft AppLocale utility and get use of it

Goto C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live\apploc-winxp-vista-7 and install AppLocale.
You can skip this if you've already installed AppLocale before, but I recommend you to uninstall your previous AppLocale completely and install with this again(Do not overwrite install or repair install!).
To install Microsoft AppLocale utility, please follow steps below:
Windows XP and older Windows - Directly run "apploc.msi" to begin setup.
Windows Vista/7 - Right-click on "apploc-vista-7.bat" and choose "Run as administrator" to begin setup.
Finish setup.

Step 4: Play the bug with AppLocale

Goto C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live and you'll found PPStream_JP_shorcut. Run it.
You'll see just like the image below for your list.

You can find this image in C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live too.
Just like what I said at the last two steps in Step 1, EXPAND(Click) on the channels that you want them to appear, for example I want to make 港台剧场 hidden series to appear so I expand it (the highlighted-in-blue channel in the image above is 港台剧场).
If you want all channels, you can expand all channels by clicking on them 1 by 1 to let them load the list.
After list is shown, EXIT/QUIT PPS client completely again.

Step 5: Run PPS client normally

Now you run PPStream client normally as usual by double-clicking on PPStream shortcut on desktop or with the way you used to run PPStream.
Now you'll get to see hidden series in your list if you successfully reproduce the bug.
If you still don't see hidden series, repeat Step 2 to Step 5 until you get it to work.
If you get bored with the failure after keep repeating Step 2 to Step 5, you can try Step 1 to Step 5.
If you still failed to reproduce it, then try with other Chinese system locale and then repeat Step 1 to Step 5.
Repeat, repeat and repeat.. until you get bored if you really out of luck X(

Special Step: You make them appear successfully, but after sometime hidden series are gone again!?

Stay with v2.7.0.1246.. Do not upgrade to v2.7.0.1248 or newer!
Repeat Step 4 to load list in Japanese, then exit, run PPStream again as usual, if failed, repeat again and again (or try to use uncache.bat to clear cache before repeat step 4 - not recommended but sometimes may work)
Try every possibility as you can =o=
This bug continues to work until I mention 'This is expired' in future updates on this article. So no worry.

Chinese edition (中文版)

以下的方法（一）和方法（二）可能在某些系统上无法成功实现，请别问我原因，我也不知道！
老实说，我已经超过100次成功地利用并实现此Bug。很多时候我切换1次系统语言(System Locale)就成功了，而且还是永久性存在。如果你失败了，请再接再厉别气馁，努力尝试直到你真的觉得很无奈了。当你一成功使到隐藏戏剧出现在你的PPS列表时，最好别再切换系统语言了，不过你也可以尝试切换因为多数时候会成功的，没办法谁叫PPS那么多Bug。我已经成功在10多台计算机上测试利用此Bug，全部都成功显示隐藏戏剧。多数都是Chinese(PRC)语言的系统。

方法（一）
将你的系统语言 system locale(for Non-Unicode) 切换成繁体中文 Chinese Traditional (Taiwan/Hong Kong S.A.R./Macau S.A.R. - 随便一个)，然后你的系统将会重启(Restart)。

Windows系统重启后，打开运行PPS程序，点击（展开）港台剧场，检查隐藏戏剧是否出现了。如果成功出现在你的PPS列表里，恭喜你成功！接下来如果你想切换回Chinese(PRC)系统就切换吧，不然就别管它了。

我个人比较喜欢Chinese(PRC)，所以我都会切换回去，而且我从繁体中文系统(Chinese Traditional system locale)切换回Chinese(PRC)后，隐藏戏剧也照旧无误地保持出现在我的PPS列表里。

如何切换系统语言？打开 Start > Control Panel > Region and Language > Administrative/Advanced > Language for non-Unicode programs

如果这个方法对你不管用，请另转使用方法（二），我比较建议方法（二）。

方法（二）（建议使用）
我建议你把你的系统语言 (system locale) 切换成 Chinese(PRC)，这是我一直使用的Windows系统语言。我也测试了其他中文语言的系统，包括了简体系统 Simplified(PRC, Singapore) 以及繁体系统 Traditional(Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau)，全部都能操作成功。

第一步：卸载PPStream，再安装 v2.7.0.1246（安装路径一定要是C:\Program Files\PPStream！）

如果你的PPStream版本不是 v2.7.0.1246，或者之前不是安装在 C:\Program Files\PPStream，请你完全地卸载PPStream。
你的 PPStream 一定要安装在 C:\Program Files\PPStream 以便成功使用此方法（二）！
从这里下载 v2.7.0.1246 并安装。
请你一定要把安装路径设置成 C:\Program Files\PPStream，请参考以上的图片！（请别覆盖安装(overwrite)因为这样可能会使Bug失败！）
照平时一样运行PPStream，点击展开有隐藏戏剧的频道列表(channel list)如《港台剧场》以便让它第一次下载列表，你也可以一个一个地点击展开全部频道列表。
现在完全的退出PPS程序，请最好点击播放(P) > 退出(X)（请别退出缩小到托盘，也就是右下角的system tray图标，因为PPS将红色的 X 关闭按钮默认设置为缩小到托盘的）

第二步：安装 HiddenSeriesBack2Live.exe 和清除缓存（cache）

从这里下载 HiddenSeriesBack2Live.zip。
解压 HiddenSeriesBack2Live.zip 并运行 HiddenSeriesBack2Live.exe（安装密码 = ryantcwbby）。
打开 C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live
正常运行 uncache.bat（提示时，键入 1 并按下 ENTER 键清除缓存）

第三步：安装 Microsoft AppLocale utility 并加以使用

打开 C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live\apploc-winxp-vista-7 并安装 AppLocale.
如果你之前已经安装过 AppLocale 你可以选择跳过此步骤，但是我建议你完全地卸载你之前安装的 AppLocale 然后再安装我这个。（请别覆盖安装-overwrite-或是修复安装-repair-！）
请根据对应的系统安装 Microsoft AppLocale utility，参考以下：
Windows XP 和更旧的Windows - 直接运行 "apploc.msi" 以便开始安装.
Windows Vista/7 - 右键点击 "apploc-vista-7.bat" 并点选 "Run as administrator" 以便开始安装.
完成安装。

第四步：使用 AppLocale 玩转 Bug

打开 C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live 你会看到 PPStream_JP_shorcut。运行它。
此时你将会看到如下图所示的PPS列表。

你也可以在 C:\HiddenSeriesBack2Live 找到此图片。
就如我在《第一步》所提到过的最后两个步骤，点击展开你要的频道列表，例如我要使到《港台剧场》的隐藏戏剧出现，所以我就点击展开它（上图所示的以《蓝色》高亮起来的频道正是《港台剧场》）。
如果你要全部列表，那就一个一个地点击展开它们。
列表展开后，再次完全地关闭PPS程序。

第五步：正常运行 PPStream 程序

现在你可以像平常一样双击桌面的 PPStream 图标或是以你平常使用的其他方法运行PPStream。
如果你成功利用此Bug，你将会看到隐藏戏剧都出现在你的PPS列表。
如果你失败了，请先重复第二到第五步。
如果你重复第二到第五步直到你无奈了都还没成功，那么就请重复第一到第五步吧。
如果你还是失败，那么请切换到别的中文语言系统(Chinese system locale)，并重复第一到第五步。
重复，重复，再重复.. 直到你真的超级无敌无奈了，这证明你真的是很倒霉 X(

特别步骤：你成功弄到隐藏戏剧出现了，可是过了一段日子他们又消失了！？

保持你的PPS在 v2.7.0.1246.. 请别更新到 v2.7.0.1248 或以上！
重复第四步让PPS在 Japanese locale 形态刷新列表，然后完全退出PPS，再次像平时一样正常运行PPS。如果失败，请重复再重复（或者在重复第四步之前先使用 uncache.bat 清除缓存 - 我不建议你这么做不过有时也会成功)
尽可能的测试所有可能的步骤 =o=
此Bug将会持续地操作下去，直到我在此文章的未来更新中注明“This is expired”。所以不用操心。
