This tutorial is exclusively for those who wanna watch TVB Channels Live Streaming (TVB频道直播) with desktop media player such as VLC Player instead of using web-player (Flash Player) like these websites: MyTV(Tvb.com), Tvb粉丝网(TvbFs) and 半成年潮社(Bcn)).

If you feel this is kinda troublesome, just leave this post alone since this is totally not suitable for you. You can still go to those streaming websites or use other third-party softwares and/or streaming clients. Thank you!

HOW TO D.I.Y.?? Very Easy.. Just follow these steps below! Install Octoshape Client/Plugin on your machine. (Skip to step 2 if you already installed it before.) Get a media player that you like, eg. VLC Player, SM Player, Real Player, PotPlayer, Windows Media Player and etc. I highly recommend PotPlayer and SM Player. (Skip to step 3 if you already have one.) You need to make file type (.FLV) association for the player you choose to use with. I highly recommend you to link-up all file types. (Skip to step 4 if you already linked them.) Right-click on the Octoshape Client system tray icon, select "Settings", choose "System default player" for External Player, click "OK". You're done and now ready for live streaming services! Click your channels below to start live streaming. 互动新闻台 (Monday-Sunday 24-hours): J2娱乐台 (Monday-Friday 11:30pm-12:30pm): 高清翡翠台 (Monday-Sunday 7pm-11:45pm): 创富坊-高清翡翠台 (逢港股交易日 9:30am-12:30pm, 2:15pm-5:15pm): Goto MyTV at TVB.com to check for currently on-streaming channels.
