Super Hidden Helper

Recently I have come out an idea which make the super hidden (system + hidden) process upon a target file or folder to be easier by producing a help tool, I named it as Super Hidden Helper, it's just a simple tool.

What is Super Hidden?
It's just a higher level than normal hidden file method, which takes one more protection from being seen by human's eyes.

Normally most of the Windows users will use the Hidden attribute to hide files but that's not enough. For example Windows XP, when others view the folder, the status bar at bottom side of the Windows Explorer still shows these words "XX objects (plus X hidden)".
So some people see it and know there is some hidden files/folders in that section.

To reveal hidden files just need to tick the "Show hidden files and folders" and all hidden files/folders are shown without 100% opacity.
It's the common way that most users know and using.

Now this Super Hidden (System Hidden) is abit more powerful than the normal way. They won't be shown like that and don't have the "XX objects (plus X hidden)" words. It's used to protect the system files which are extremely important, these files can be classified as VIP for Windows. If some of these files are missing or corrupt, you may experience some technical issues and may lead your computer to become unaccessible. If come to this case you will need to reformat your Windows or get back those system files in normal state.

However, there are a few ways to hide/show files and folders with the Super Hidden method. I just brief it here. You can do that thru Run...(Start menu), Command Prompt, Folder Options(Windows Explorer), Registry Editor, some extension tools and etc.

Actually I, myself have a tool which can lock, hide and secure files/folders with password encyption. But that doesn't work when comes to Removable Drives such as USB Disk/Thumbdrive/Pendrive/Flashdrive, External/Portable Hard Disk and etc. since the protection is unmovable. So I always use Super Hidden to hide my files/folders in USB Disk.

Everytime hide/show, I also gotta type commands and I'm sick of that. So I developed a helper and comes out the Super Hidden Helper. It helps me by shortening the commands and now I just need to type the file/folder full path(target location) and choose selection and done. Some people such as lazy people and users who are not familiar with DOS commands, they have a hard time to memorize the commands although it's just a simple attribute command.

The programming language I used for Super Hidden Helper is the easy Batch file coding. Why? Because I'm playing with this simple language recently =P. It's just an easy tool to use and please DON'T leech my work thanks. If you wanna improve it, of course you can take it as reference but you have to share it with me ok ;D.

Here's the screenshot of little helper (Yes it's simple enough!):

Important note:
  • Extracting password : ryantcwbby
  • This is packed as archive so it's PORTABLE!
  • If you don't know how to use it, just refer to readme.txt first.
  • File/folder path is NOT case-sensitive.
  • Be notice that you have to remember your files/folders' name and location, if not you have to reveal all super-hidden with other methods.
  • So what I suggest here is you can create ONE folder with a name that u can easily remember to be ur MASTER Folder.
  • Then move all the files and folders which u wish to super-hide into Master Folder.
  • Now u just have to remember this Master Folder full path and super-hide it. Done!
